Profile: Dawn Johnson - Fine Artist

Dawn has enjoyed the world of art throughout her life. She is especially fond of the outdoors and many of her works contain nature themes. A Michigan native, after high school Dawn pursued her love of the arts at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Fine and Commercial Art at Madonna University.

For the past ten years, while raising a family, Dawn used her art skills designing ad specialty items for her customers in her own business. Now, with her family grown, she has returned to her true love, the fine arts.

An avid traveler, Dawn gets much of her inspiration from trips around Michigan with her husband. She has been honored as a featured guest artist at Ducks Unlimited and Trout Unlimited.

Most of Dawn's work favors an impressionistic style and she enjoys working in all drawing and painting mediums. Intrigued by the endless colors she sees in nature, she includes them in her art.  Dawn signs her artwork, Dawn Wolfe Johnson.
